300 supporters joined Chinese Hospital annual Golf Tournament to raise funds


(SAN FRANCISCO) The annual Chinese Hospital fundraising Golf Tournament was held on October 4 in Olympic Club. The goal was to raise at least $600,000 for the Chinese Hospital to provide service to the community in need.
This year marks the 26th annual Golf Tournament which was started by late community leader Rose Pak. Due to the pandemic, the tournament was cancelled last year.
Former Mayor Willie Brown and Chinese Hospital CEO Jian Zhang are the co-chairs of the Golf Fundraising Committee this year. Brown has non-stopped co-hosting the tournament since the beginning.

In addition to the golf tournament, silent auction at the evening banquet has been a tradition among the all day event to raise a significant fund for the Chinese Hospital.
A landscape painting by famed artist Arthur Koo was one of the most popular silent auction items. The painting is the most recent artwork by Koo who donates it to the Chinese Hospital for silent auction.
Koo used to work at the Chinese media and has been active in the Chinese community. Kitman Chan, Board Chair of Chinese Hospital, Robert Chiang and Ding Bong Lee, Board Members and co-chairs of the Fundraising Committee, thanked Koo for his generosity and support to Chinese Hospital.
