SF Fire Department management lack of Chinese American representation

(SAN FRANCISCO) San Francisco Fire Department has long been lacking Chinese American representation. There has been no Chinese American sitting in the 5-member Fire Commission for seven years. The Chinese community leaders called for promoting more Asian firefighters to the management positions.

  • National Park must be established by the act of the United States Congress. 29 states and two U.S. territories (American Samoa and U.S Virgin Islands) have a total of 62 national parks. California has the most with nine, followed by Alaska with eight, Utah with five and Colorado with four. Some are famous or well-known to each other, but every single one has its own unique character.

  • (ARIZONA) The American history is no more than 250 years old, but the land we stand on has millions and millions of years of history. Paleo-Indians migrated from Siberia to North America at least 12,000 years ago. Nowadays we still can find the early day human ruin sites in Arizona and other states.

  • (SAN FRANCISCO) BeChinatown, a non-profit organization to revitalize Chinatown, held a Christmas celebration event last Saturday, Dec. 12, distributing Christmas gifts to 600 Single Room Occupancy(SRO) family children who live in Chinatown.

  • In San Bernardino County of Southern California, the out-of-this-world formations 3,800 acres of the Trona Pinnacles National Natural Landmark have been used as a backdrop in a number of science-fiction films. There are about 500 towers of various shapes that reach as high as 140 feet above the base.
