Superstar pianist Lang Lang to perform alongside his wife, Gina Alice, on Sept. 25 at SF Symphony 2024-2025 opening gala

SAN FRANCISCO — Superstar pianist Lang Lang will perform on September 25 by joining the San Francisco Symphony to celebrate the start of the 2024–25 season in its Opening Gala. His pianist wife, Gina Alice, will also play piano on stage alongside Lang to have a duet performance in the gala concert.

  • (SAN FRANCISCO) The San Francisco Public Library announced free programs for all ages at all branches citywide in celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year. The free programs include lion dance and Chinese instrumental music performances, and various lunar new year craft creations.

  • (SAN FRANCISCO) The San Francisco Public Library announced to relaunch Lawyers in the Library program in 2024 to help eligible green card holders apply for U.S. citizenship. The first free workshop in the program will be held on January 16.

  • (SAN FRANCISCO) BeChinatown’s annual toy drive took place on Dec. 16 at the Waverly Place in Chinatown. Members of the frontline responders and law enforcement have participated in this annual event as volunteers for years to bring joy to the children and the community.

  • (SAN FRANCISCO) State Assemblymember Matt Haney (D-San Francisco) returned to Visitacion Valley on November 18, Saturday, to distribute 500 food bags to the local seniors and low income families to celebrate Thanksgiving.

  • (SAN FRANCISCO) Edge on the Square announced its second annual Contemporary Arts Festival to be held on the upcoming Saturday, September 30, to showcase over 20 local artists' work and celebrate the enduring radiance of the San Francisco Chinatown at multiple locations.

  • (SAN FRANCISCO) BeChinatown's co-founder Lily Lo is also named as the “Queen of Lanterns”. Lo has taken another lead to extend the lantern project to 400 and 500 blocks of Grant Avenue in San Francisco Chinatown. The lantern lighting ceremony and a night market will be held on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival Day, September 29.
