Supporters participate in annual Self Help for the Elderly Longevity Walkathon to raise fund

(SAN FRANCISCO) The annual Self Help Longevity Walkathon was held on the Autumn Moon Festival Day, September 10, at Portsmouth Square in San Francisco Chinatown. Hundreds of supporters and seniors participated in the event to show their commitment to raising more funds for the Self Help for the Elderly.
Longevity Walkathon is a part of the 4-week Walk, Run, Ride to the Moon fundraising campaign. The funds raised would support the service that Self Help for the Elderly has provided for over 40,000 seniors and older adults each year in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties.
The campaign started on August 21 to open for the participants to sign up online at www.charityfootprints.com/SelfHelp/ until September 22.

It is not only a fundraising event, but also a promotion for wellness via fitness activities like walking, running and riding bikes to culminate points to raise funds.
Two more events will be held in the upcoming week for the campaign. On Saturday, September, 17, a celebration of the Autumn Moon Festival will take place at Central Park in San Mateo City. On September 22, a virtual wrap-up party will be held for all the participants.
